After two shots of terbutaline my heart rate got up too high for the third round. The doctor gave me procardia to slow my heart rate, and it is also used to stop pre term labor. It did the job, and I was discharged at 6 a.m. this morning. Brandon and Axton picked me up and with a quick McDonalds trip we were home. Now I will be taking procardia twice a day until my next appointment which is Thursday, December 27. Thankfully I got to come home with orders to rest but not put on bed rest. I sure am glad for Christmas break.

First Hospital Visit
It is December 21, 2012 4:03 a.m. And I am sitting or lying rather on a hospital bed with an iv in my left arm. I started having contractions regularly three days ago. Tonight they began every four minutes. After a whole iv bag of fluid, they are still 3-4 minutes apart, so I just got a shot of terbutaline. I will have another shot in twenty minutes. If that doesn't work they will start a magnesium drip. Lord, please stop these contractions. I am so hungry haha and my heart is racing from this medicine. Geeze!! On a happy note, Aimree looks great! That a way to be a trooper :)

The Things People Say
Being pregnant opens the door for many types of feedback, both positive and negative. I don't mind the belly rubbing or the questions of when you're due, but what I do mind is when people think it is absolutely okay to talk about how fat they think you are. Even though they don't say, "wow, you are fat," they say "your butt is wide and your hips are huge! Your belly is big too!" Seriously, we are people carrying a baby and yes we gain weight, but it is never okay to be rude. Our pregnant feelings do get hurt. Gaining weight is a part of pregnancy. I don't even mind the comments about how my belly has grown. I think only positive feedback is necessary and when in doubt leave your thoughts to yourself.

26 weeks Pregnant
At 26 weeks pregnant, I feel good for the most part. I have a few contractions daily since about 20 weeks pregnant, but no dilation :). My hydroxyprogesterone shots are doing their job. Brandon hit a nerve the first time I think because my behind to my foot was throbbing. Bless his heart. The only side effects are swelling and drowsiness the day of. I am thankful for not having to wear a pump this time.
I feel her kicking all the time. She is rowdy and makes me smile already. Axton asks about her all the time and kisses my belly.
My lower back is the worst part so far. By the time I get off work, I just want to sit down. I have enjoyed yoga with this pregnancy, and I have tried to stay active.
So far, thank you God for a great pregnancy.

Homemade cheesecake for Father's Day
I decided this year that everything for my husband would be done by me by hand made with love. So my decision was cheesecake and a picture frame.
Crust
2 cups vanilla wafers(finally grated)
1 cup glazed almonds(finally grated)
4 tablespoons sweet unsalted butter
Filling
3 packs cream cheese
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 squeezes of fresh lemon
1/4 cup flour
16 oz of sour cream
5 large eggs beaten (put one in at a time already beaten)
Mix ingredients for crust and press into buttered pie dish going up the sides.
Mix cream cheese adding sugar slowly.
Add flour, vanilla, and lemon and beat again. Add flour, mix, add eggs one at a time. Lastly, add the sour cream.
Pour onto the crust. Cook on 325 for 1 hour. Crack oven door and leave open for an additional hour. Place in fridge over night. Add a topping if you wish or enjoy!!
Picture frame
Cut 2x8 to the size of your choice using a jig saw.
Hit the board with a hammer, hit a nail with a hammer into the board, stab it with a knife to make it appear aged.
Paint it whatever color you choose. Hammer a nail on bottom of the back to make it stand. Hammer or hot glue a bow or skip this part. Nail or glue a clip to hold a picture onto the top.
All done :)

Axton and his Stitches!
I had my first experience with a call to work to pick Axton up because he needed stitches. At Amanda's he was playing in a pop up tent where a plastic toy was broken and as Axton was getting out he scraped his knee on the broken toy. It was cut wide open, but she said he didn't even really cry. I took him to All Children's Clinic where he saw Dr, Verma. They had to put him in something that looked like a straight jacket (scary scary). He got three stitches and it wasn't pleasant. Afterwards they gave him a Popsicle and he fell asleep with it in his mouth. I felt so bad for my little man, but he is tough and handled it pretty well. The day after getting his stitches two of them popped out!! Amanda called me to pick him up, so off we went. This time we did not replace the stitches because to much time had passed. We cleaned it with peroxide and Neosporin. Wednesday, April 3 we got his last stitch out. He screamed at the sight of the room, louder when he saw the nurses, and crawled up my neck when Dr. Verma came in. He will have an ugly scar, but it makes for a good story. Luckily he has a great babysitter that doesn't panic and knows me well enough to know how to not make me panic :). All is well now and hopefully no more stitches haha!
Happy Birthday Axton!
Three years ago tomorrow, Axton was born! I thank God everyday for this blessing. Being a parent has shown me true love and taught me true patience. Right now he is 32.2 pounds and 3 ft 3 inches tall. Axton just started playing t-ball and I am sure that he is left handed. He absolutely loves all of the heroes including Spiderman, Batman, The Hulk, Captain America, and Heman. He likes to imitate the characters and tell me all the details about their huge muscles. His favorite riding toy is his tricycle and John Deer Tractor. His favorite foods are pizza, chicken, cereal, peppers, fruit, chocolate, chips, and moo tubes. He drinks soy milk, but he prefers juice. He still loves bath time, and wants to sleep with me every night (which makes me smile). We read every single night a book of his choice and then say our night night prayers. His first prayer all on his own was this:
I love you angel... All the morning. Thank you mommy for feeding me cupcake, chicken, and moo tube. Thank you daddy... Buying me all my foods and because thank you Jesus. Amen
I had a few tears in my eyes listening to this. I could lay by his side all day everyday and listen to him talk.
Axton can identify letters versus numbers and knows a few shapes, but he can't quite say his ABC's. He is very athletic and can do anything with his hands. My favorite quotes by Ax are: happy dirtday, I need my not rag, ugh um because, I love you though, darn it, oh my goodness, I wanna hold you, I am growing bigger bigger, sucy (Lucy$ I love you all the morning, u beautiful mommy...
As you can see I could talk about him all day. Being a mommy is amazing and scary at times. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Merry Merry Christmas!
Every year we do Christmas Eve at our house. Usually Tony, Emily and the kids come over. This year we missed Emily, but were blessed to have Mike, Tracy, Grandmama, Amber, her bf, Tony, Jack, and Liam! I was excited to have family at our house, so I planned some stuff for the kids and made dessert. I let Brandon take care of the food this year. He made a huge pot of Chili and a delicious salad. It was so nice to have Christmas at our house. We visited and drank coffee. Pop and Axton played baseball before the other kids joined us. Axton gave Pop and Pipi his hand made ornament, and he got a Tonka dump truck from them.
The kids and I made gingerbread men for Santa. Here are some pictures of theirs. I love that Axton and Liam's are missing some limbs lol!
Christmas Eve night, after everyone left, Brandon, Axton, and me made reindeer food and put it on the lawn. Then, we opened presents. Brandon and I opened all of ours, and we let Axton open some. I always look forward to my gifts from Brandon. He is an excellent gift giver. I always get my favorite coffee and wine. We have coffee then a glass of wine while we watch a Christmas movie. I also got some Snooki house shoes that are zebra print and a pink fluffy robe from Victoria Secret. The icing on the cake was my new flash for my camera. I am soooo excited and thankful for all of my gifts. I am even more grateful to have family and friends surrounding me during the holidays. Brandon got new luggage, a Drew Brees jersey, and lots of clothes per his request. Axton got all things Toy Story from Santa. He was cute running out of the room to his presents. We recorded it so we can always go back and see these memories. His favorite present was of course Buzz Light Year.
After Axton opened his gifts and played awhile we discussed the true meaning of Christmas. He was excited that it was Jesus' birthday, so excited that he sang him happy birthday. He went something like this, Happy birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Jesus....Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas! I loved hearing his little voice singing to Jesus. He is precious, and I cherish these little moments.
Here are some of the pictures from our night.
